Citizens Bank

Client: The Citizens Bank
Director of Marketing: Margi Fleming
Art Director: Jeff Smith

Over the last few months, I have been shooting a series of ads for The Citizens Bank. The photographs are primarily used for billboard advertising. The images feature business owners who are bank customers.

This ad features Harold Johnson who owns a nursery. When we arrived for the shoot, I noticed there were some chickens nearby. I thought, "Wouldn't it be great if he were holding a rooster!" Mr. Johnson obliged. Of course, to be on the safer side, I shot with and without the fowl. In the end, the bank liked the chicken. Here is the final billboard:

The images were shot with a Canon 5D II and a 50mm 1.4 lens. Lighting on the subject came from one large Chimera on camera left and one medium Chimera over the camera. We also used a 12' x 12' overhead frame with artificial silk to control the sun.

Dr. Lesley Kirby is an audiologist. This image was shot in my studio on gray seamless paper. The main light was a large Chimera, with a medium Chimera over the camera for fill. There was also one flash on the background to keep it from going too dark. It was shot with a Canon 5D II with a 70-200 f/2.8 lens.

Here is the final for the billboard:
